  1. 1. Masculinity can be defined by the properties of the characteristic of the male sex. It is the degree of being masculine or manly.

    2. Being unmasculine can refer to presenting weaknesses and sensitivity. for masculinity is the the quality or condition of behaving in ways considered typical for men.

    3. Masculinity has played a massive role and has dramatically differentiated our perceptions of gender and gender roles in our society, we now, as ordinary citizens have been influenced to an extent where masculinity is playing a major role in our lives. For example, the media seems to have forced the idea upon humans that being masculinity should be percieved as sexy and attractive. This simply has been generalized and the term itself has been completely diluted.

    2. being unmasculate can mean that you are visually un male or sensitive. or it can mean you have behaved in various different ways.

Yes i do agree that the society that im am living in has shaped my meaning of masculinity as it shows that being male type today is to have great courage and to speak out for what is wright as compared to mid 1950′s where masculinty was portrayed as being a male with no effections and massive boddy strentgh with large muscles.
